Flowering

This photo was taken in the middle of the Sacred Valley of Peru. My bus had broken down in the middle of the night and after five hours of waiting in the cold for spare parts on the side of the road, I was blessed with the sight of this beautiful orchid breaking out of the darkness as the dawn of a new day broke.
